Bought this expecting it would maybe feel cheap, but the quality feels exactly, if not even better then the taxi garage one, which is over 400 dollars.

Designed for use without the covers, but can totally be made to fit with them. I wired mine to my charge port wire with T-connectors from Autozone that snap over the wire, creating a second location for a shrouded blade connector. If you have an aftermarket controller with an “Indicator” port, this location will also work by wiring a 2-pin connector to it and plugging it in..

Takes a little bit of ingenuity to get the battery percentage set up correctly. Pay attention to the model number on the bag it comes in and get on YouTube to find a setup video. You have more functionality than it first seems, you just need to get the settings right. The first couple tell it what kind of battery you have. The second pair is for battery voltage and percentage, followed by settings 5 and 6 being for the thermistor/temperature probe.

I ride my cart daily and do quite a bit of out-and-back trail riding, so keeping a monitor on things so I don’t get stranded is super important. Adding this meter gave me a ton of confidence in my setup and how well it’s performing. You wouldn’t willingly drive a car without a gas gauge or thermostat. Don’t leave yourself guessing how healthy your motor is or how much charge you’ve got. Know with the push of a button!
